Wylie Coyotes

   We had a small but fun group at the Wylie Coyotes advanced workshop last night.     We review several figures that people were having problems with.    Jim & Lorna Robar were visiting with us.   We enjoyed Jim calling some for us.    In September we will be starting new DBD and advanced classes.

Weekend square dance classes

Flushing Roadrunner Class

We had another successful class last night.   There were 4 squares dancing at sometimes.   Plans are going well for the dance at the Saginaw County Fair Thursday August 5.    I will be calling and cueing.    We will start dancing at 6:00 PM.    I am putting the finishing touches on the square dance program for the state convention.     We have a great lineup of callers this year.    This should be one of the best conventions in years.   Don’t forget the advanced classes tonight at the Flushing Senior Center.

Last weekend

This last weekend we went to the Funny Farm square dance campground near Mesick, Michigan.     We had fun.   It was good seeing Larry & Bernice Prior again.    It has been a couple years since we have seen them.    The turnout was small this year but we had a good time.    We met with friends from previous years at the Funny Farm.    We remembered a lot of good old times.    We made some new friends that we hope to see more dancing around the square.   Larry & Bernice are planning another party next year and we plan to go.

Roscommon Circle squares Dance

I enjoyed calling and cueing for the Roscommon Circle Squares last night.     We had 5-6 squares at the dance.     I was surprised to see two others callers there.   (George Edwards & Harold Cole)    Several dancers from the Gaylord Northern Squares came down.
We will be leaving today to go to the Funny Farm Campground to dance with Larry & Bernice Prior.

The program of callers for the 2004 Michigan Square Dance Convention is getting closer to completion.      We are checking for errors and problems and hope to finalize it next week.

Roscommon Circle squares

Wayne will be calling and cueing at  Roscommon Circle squares in  Roscommon, Michigan tonight Jily 22.   The dance will be at C.R.A.F. Center, 606 Lake Street.     Dancing will start at 7:00 PM and will be casual.
